My Story

After the birth of my first daughter, I was diagnosed with Postpartum Anxiety & Depression. And then a few years later, ulcerative colitis. These diagnosis caused me to reevaluate my life, dive deep into various healing modalities, and renegotiate my relationship with myself. Among other things, I realized I was a Highly Sensitive Person and that I often prioritized everyone and everything else around me - ignoring the very important things my body was trying to communicate with me.

I stopped working as a high school teacher after a decade and slowly started working on myself instead. It took a huge leap to quit, put myself first, and create a life I could lead with more peace, faith, and ease. I found a regained sense of myself when I started working with a somatic therapist and learned about Polyvagal theory and my nervous system. I came out of the depths of despair and started orienting to the beauty and joy that existed all around me - for the first time in a long time.

I certified in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, Somatic Experiencing (trainee), Internal Family Systems Level One training. I am a certified Kundalini yoga teacher (RYT-300) - also called the 'Yoga of Awakening' - and teach breath work and meditation. I have completed training in Polyvagal theory, mindfulness and nervous system awareness, and I am enrolled in my graduate studies in Counselling Psychology (MACP). I have had professional development in a variety of helping roles.

I am a now different version of myself; more empowered and connected with my boundaries and heart. I have practices in place that serve me in the inevitable times of darkness and try I get up every day and choose to give thanks for all the blessings in my life (and no I don't always succeed!) I prioritize deep self-care, honesty, love, and passion.

I believe that in order to heal, you have to develop a resilient capacity to move - through emotion, through change, and through life, while retaining the ability to love yourself, others, and the world around you. Thus, Move Love Heal was born.

If you are still reading this, you are probably seeking change, too.

You want to be the best version of your self so you can support yourself, and likely others too - your kids, partner, or community.
With multiple degrees and trainings, a decade of experience teaching, and soul on fire to help others, I would be honoured to be your trusted partner in helping you reclaim your body, and your life.

Sat Nam.
